Well I have fixed most of the vacuum leaks on the 928 making it run a lot better than it had been. But now she smokes like that old lady next door who just won’t die, but complains every Sunday after you fire off your classic car to take to the local show. But any way, now I need to get her on the lift and do some fluid changes and take the Porsche back over to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! to get tuned again. Maybe I will make it to Monterey. At least that is my goal.
I really hope the Oppo badge helps her run better now that it is installed.
Holy mother of what the fuck kind of fuses are those?! Well there was only one fuse blow... So now why don’t my gauges work?
Gratuitous shot on me helping my buddy rebuild he ‘64.5 Mustang with factory K-Code engine. It’s been sitting for a while. We finally got the engine back in and the carb on. Now to plumb and wire and VROOM!

Run a little sea foam through those vacuum lines, wait more smoke, probably end up with less.

Can’t watch the vid right now. I’m sure I’ll have to back the mixture off a bit, it took some fuel to make it idle as it was.

That’s what I figured. Found not all of the intake tubes were tightened down enough and same with the boots. That fixed a lot of vacuum issues lol.

It’s just running rich, but thank you. If it is still smoking after i get the injection tuned, I will try foam of the sea.

If you are talking about those fuses in the middle/top of your picture, then yes I said the same thing when I saw them on my old BMW. None of them are blown, though. Have you had to replace any? Can you find them at any auto store or are they a special order item?

Question, are the gauges mechanical or electric?

No idea, only one was blown and there were some in the glove box left over from the previous owner along with some glass replacements.

Yes. I mean, they turn electrical input into mechanical motion :)

Ugg, You know that’s not what I mean. I mean like I have a working oil pressure gauge, but the rest aren’t working. So is the oil gauge physically mechanical and the the rest electronic?

I think the oil pressure guage is connected directly to the oil pressure sender, and the other panel gauges are through the circuit board. Can look at diagrams tomorrow.
